<br />Commission Minutes--July 19, 2004 <br /> <br />2757 <br /> <br />8. <br /> <br />CONTRACT APPROVAL, City of Arausville; City of Kindred <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve the following <br />contracts submitted by respective department head, subject to state's <br />attorney approval, and authorize the chairman to sign: On roll call vote, <br />the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />City of Argusville--spraying of adult mosquitoes <br />City of Kindred--spraying of adult mosquitoes <br /> <br />9. <br /> <br />COMMISSION POLICY MANUAL, Amend Section 4.00, Advisory Boards <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to amend Commission <br />Policy Manual Section 4.00, Advisory Boards, to appoint Bruce Furness <br />to complete the unexpired term of Rob Lynch on the Cass County <br />Vector Control Board. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />10. RESOLUTION #2004-7, Condolence to family of the late William Pietsch <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to adopt Resolution #2004- <br />7 expressing condolences to the family of the late William "Bill" Pietsch <br />of Casselton. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Cass County Commissioners has learned of the death of <br />William "Bill" Pietsch of Casselton, North Dakota; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, William Pietsch served in the North Dakota House of Representatives <br />and on numerous committees, including Interim President of the Fargo Cass County <br />Economic Development Corporation and the Cass County Governance Advisory <br />Committee. <br /> <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners of Cass County, <br />North Dakota, does hereby express its condolences to the family of the late William "Bill" <br />Pietsch. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution be inscribed upon the permanent <br />records of the proceedings of the Board of County Commissioners and a copy forwarded to <br />his family. <br /> <br />Dated at Fargo, North Dakota, this 19th day of July, 2004. <br /> <br />11. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, Approve purchase orders for eQuipment <br />Terry Schmaltz, Cass County Information Technology Manager, was present to answer any <br />questions concerning his two memorandums dated July 7,2004, requesting approval to <br />purchase a network data storage enclosure and to replace a large format color plotter. <br /> <br />Birch Burdick, State's Attorney, asked if there were competitive bids for these purchases. <br />Mr. Schmaltz said the first item is at the State bid rate; and the vendor is offering a $2,500 <br />trade-in allowance until July 31, 2004 on the color plotter. Funds are available now for both <br />purchases. <br />
