<br /> <br />Measurement(s) to be used to determine accomplishment of Objectives: <br /> <br />Youthworks has an extensive, computerized management information system that can provide all of the <br />demographic, service, and outcome data needed to evaluate the effectiveness of the project. Youthworks has a <br />judicial order from the East Central Judicial Court and the local schools allowing for the exchange of information <br />with Youthworks. Data which will be available for analysis include the demographics of youth served, the types of <br />service, amounts of services provided and both general & specific outcomes. <br />Measurable accomplishments will include: <br /> <br />number and types of citations at intake and citations following intake <br />number, types & length of placement interventions approved by parents <br />number, type & length of placements authorized by the court <br />number of families and youth receiving, and the hours of, assessment services <br />number of families and youth receiving, and the hours of, supporting services <br />number of youth & families receiving mediation, and the hours of mediation provided <br />number of youth receiving, and the hours of, peer support, group &lor individual counseling <br />number of youth referred for out-of-school suspension supervision, counseling, & community service <br />number of truants referred, plans developed, improvements in attendance and achievement <br />number of families receiving, and the hours of, crisis intervention & family counseling <br />number of youth and parents participating in anger management training <br /> <br />With an extensive database in place, questions essential to the evaluation of this program can be answered. <br />These include: <br />"What services are most effective in diversion?" <br />"Which interventions are used and how frequently are they used?" <br />"How long must services be provided?" <br />"What level of service seems appropriate?" <br />'What will diversion cost?" <br />"How effective is the program in preventing further citations?" <br />"How effective is the program at preventing longer-term out-of-home placement and the termination of <br />parental custody?" <br />"How effective is the program in returning truants and youth suspended from school in returning youth to <br />school and reducing further incidences of truancy or suspension?" <br />
