<br />Commission Minutes--July 6, 2004 <br /> <br />2747 <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />PERMIT FOR RAFFLE, Approved for St. Benedict Catholic Church <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to approve a raffle permit for <br />St. Benedict Catholic Church to be held on September 19, 2004, at St. <br />Benedict Catholic Church of Wild Rice. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />8. <br /> <br />ROAD DEPARTMENT, Purchase order for exhaust fans at three rural shops <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to authorize the chair to sign <br />a purchase order for $9,445.00 to Robert Gibb and Sons for installation of <br />exhaust fans and air return at three rural county highway shops. On roll <br />call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />9. <br /> <br />CONTRACT APPROVAL, Maple Prairie Addition <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to approve the following <br />contract submitted by respective department head, subject to state's <br />attorney approval, and authorize the chairwoman to sign: Maple Prairie <br />Addition for spraying adult mosquitoes. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />10. PERMIT FOR RAFFLE, Approved for Norman Lutheran Church of Kindred <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to approve a raffle permit for <br />Norman Lutheran Church to be held on August 22, 2004, at the Norman <br />Lutheran Church, rural Kindred. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />11. PERMIT FOR SPECIAL EVENT, Approved for Knickerbocker liQuor Locker <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to approve a special event <br />permit for the Knickerbocker Liquor Locker, Hickson, North Dakota, to <br />provide bar services for a wedding reception in a hangar at the Kindred <br />Airport on July 24, 2004, beginning at 5:30 PM. On roll call vote, the <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />12. RESOLUTION OF CONDOLENCE, To the family of the late Jeannette Stanton <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to adopt Resolution #2004- <br />6 expressing condolences to the family of the late Jeannette "Mike" <br />Stanton, former Cass County Commissioner. On roll call vote, the <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Cass County Commissioners has learned of the death of <br />Jeannette "Mike" Stanton of Fargo, North Dakota; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Jeannette Stanton served as a member of the Board of Cass County <br />Commissioners for 12 years--from 1977 through 1988. <br />
