<br />I Upon the recommendation of the County Road Superintendent, Mr. Satrom moved and
<br />IMrs. Stanton seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign agreements with
<br />; the State Highway Department awarding the bid for the County Road 16 project to
<br />iDuninck Brothers & Gilchrist in the amount of $472,939.50 and awarding the bid for the
<br />I road leading to the new Convent bridge to S & S Construction ,Company in the amount of
<br />i$73,029.00. Motion carried.

<br />Disc. on CIO from' Mr. Paul Woitzel again appeared regarding County Road 10 from Mapleton east.
<br />Mapleton & Comm. ;Mr. Scheffler stated that the County Road Department is graveling the road now, and
<br />to review prior- ,Mrs. Wold suggested that the Commissioners review the priorities on the road construction
<br />ities--Disc. on !program in the next few weeks. The Board discussed putting a weight limit on this road,
<br />weight limits I and Mr. Scheffler feels that weight limits should be placed on all County roads.

<br />from H.G. Poulson! their flood problem was referred to Mr. Hendrickson, and he stated that he will be

<br />, Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign
<br />i the agreement with the State Highway Department for the purchase of a band saw for the
<br />i County Road Department, the County's share to be $270.00. Motion carried.

<br />Questions were raised on the County's road mowing policy. Mr. Sondrall moved and
<br />:Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the County Road Department mow two swaths as in the
<br />[past year. However, Mr. Satrom felt that the County should mow all of their right of way
<br />I along County roads, and Mr. Scheffler stated that most of the right of way is on
<br />I'easements although the County has been purchasing the right of way in recent projects.
<br />,Mr. Sondrall and Mr. Hendrickson withdrew their motion and second, and the matter will be
<br />i discussed again next Wednesday to give opportunity for comment from affected landowners.

<br />i Mr. Satrom moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the Plat of Sheyenne Shadows
<br />: Subdivision in Section 18, Stanley Township, be approved and the Chairman authorized
<br />I to sign the plat. Motion carried.

<br />Disc. to be cont.i Discussion was held on returning the County Sanitarian Department to the County's
<br />on returning Co. ! ju~isdiction rather than under the City of Fargo Health Department. Mrs. Stanton felt
<br />Sanitation Dept. i th~s should be done due to the large number of rural subdivisions and the sanitation
<br />to Co. jurisdic- i problems involved. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that the Chairman
<br />tion i be authorized to write a letter to Dr. D. H. Lawrence, Fargo Health Officer, inviting
<br />!him to the Commission meeting on Tuesday, October 3rd, to discuss the possibility of
<br />! bringing the County Sanitarian back under the jurisdiction of the County; copies of the
<br />! letter to be sent to City Commissioner Gib Bromenschenkel, to County Sanitarian Richard
<br />!Brumfield and to City Sanitarian Goodwin Hoff. Motion c~rried.

<br />Repair of Shff. i Discussion was held on repairs to the Sheriff's Residence. The Commission questioned
<br />Residence disc. !whether this building was tested at the time that the jail was condemned, and Mrs. Wold
<br />I suggested contacting Paul Breyer & Associates. Mr. Sondrall and Mr. Hendrickson, who have
<br />I the Buildings and Grounds portfolio,: will investigate the matter and the Board will discuss
<br />; it again next Wednesday.

<br />State Revenue Mr. Sondrall reported that he received a call from Ron Soderberg, Executive Secretary
<br />Sharing Campaign: of the North Dakota Association of Count~es, concerning a campaign in Cass County for
<br />to be headed by ! State Revenue Sha~ing Funds. Mr. Sondr~ll vo~unteered to head the campaign along with
<br />Mr. Sondrall & I ?ordon Sletmoe, D~saster Emergency Serv~ces,D~rector. Ho~ever~ Mr~. Stanton wondered
