<br />EDUCATION (PARENT EDUCATORS) ENABLING THE PROGRAM TO OFFER EVEN <br />MORE TOPICS - BOTH IN FREQUENCY AND CONTENT AND MEET REQUESTS <br />FOR PROGRAMMING IN A TIMELY BASIS. <br /> <br />MS. BERGE-BUSS HAS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF COORDINATING ALL ASPECTS <br />OF THE FIVE COUNTY PROGRAM, IDENTIFYING NEEDS, MEETING THESE <br />NEEDS THROUGH THE SCHEDULING OF CLASSES, DEVIVERY OF RESOURCE <br />MATERIALS, AND BEING INVOLVED IN COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES AND BOARDS. <br />SHE IS AVAILABLE TO CONSULT WITH MANY CONCERNED GROUPS IN THE <br />AREA AS THEY CONSIDER WHICH PARENTING TOPICS WOULD FIT BEST WITH <br />THEIR NEEDS AT THE TIME. MS. BERGE-BUSS TEACHES THE MAJORITY OF THE <br />CLASSES OFFERED THROUGH THE PRC AND MAINTAINS RECORDS, SEEKS <br />FUINDING, AND WORKS WITH PARENT EDUCATORS TO ENSURE CONSISTENT <br />AND QUALITY PRESENTATIONS. AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE COORDINATOR'S <br />ROLE IS TO BE EDUCATED HERSELF AND CONTINUE THE NETWORKING AND <br />COLLABORATIVE EFFORTS OF THE PARENTING RESOURCES CENTER TO MEET <br />THE NEEDS OF THE MOST PEOPLE IN THE MOST EFFICIENT WAYS POSSIBLE. <br />THE COORDINATOR ALSO SEEKS TO PROMOTE THE CONCEPT OF HEALTHY <br />FAMILIES IN REGION V AND ENCOURAGES COMMUNITY LEADERS TO FOCUS <br />ON THE MERITS OF PARENT EDUCATION. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />List existing community resources you will utilize (i.e., facilities, people, <br />partnerships). <br /> <br />The Parenting Resources Center utilizes the resources of many organizations and <br />communities in Region V. Faith Communities, school districts, county agencies, <br />community centers and businesses all provide resources and collaborate to offer <br />parenting education through classes, and materials to their employeesllocal <br />citizens/school district parents. <br /> <br />The Parenting Resources Center partners with a large number of individuals to provide <br />education and support. Please refer to the list from question 6. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />Name other organizations doing similar or related work in your geographic area <br />and describe how your project differs from, contributes to, or complements these <br />activities. <br /> <br />The Parenting Resources Center is unique in it's services for many reasons including: <br /> <br />1.) <br /> <br />The PRC serves residents in six counties in SE North Dakota and provides <br />a wide variety of class offerings. <br /> <br />2.) <br /> <br />All parents and adults who work with kids are welcome without referral or <br />crisis need. <br /> <br />We recognize numerous organizations and individuals provide specific services to <br />individuals including counseling, support groups for parents of children with special <br /> <br />..-- <br />
