Research has repeatedly shown, <br />(example, Search Institute, Minneapolis, MN) that parents are the biggest influence in <br />children's lives regarding values and life choices. Parents supported through the PRC <br />have support and accurate information to assist them in the process. <br /> <br />6. It is required that there will be support/commitment from other agencies/groups. <br />Evidence of this support/commitment either through collaborative participation or <br />through funding needs to be documented inJhe attached collaborative support <br />form. The form must have a minimum of two support agencies/groups. Please <br />include names, return addresses, phone numbers, and signature. The applicant <br />agency should not provide a signature of support and this will not count as one of <br />the two minimum required. <br /> <br />Please see attached list of collaborators. <br /> <br />c. <br /> <br />Specific Project Information <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Describe your organization's understanding, experience and expertise as it relates <br />to the proposed project. <br /> <br />THE PARENTING RESOURCES CENTER OFFERS A WIDE RANGE OF <br />RESEARCHED BASED PARENTING RESOURCES PARTIALLY DUE TO IT'S <br />AFFILIATION WITH NORTH DAKOTA STATE UNIVERSITY AND THE NORTH <br />DAKOTA EXTENSION SERVICE. THE BASIS OF THE EXTENSION SERVICE IS TO <br />REACH OUT TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND OTHER PROFESSIONALS AND MEET <br />THEIR NEEDS THROUGH COLLABORATION AND EDUCATION. THE PARENTING <br />RESOURCES CENTER HAS ACCESS TO THE EXPERTISE OF SPECIALISTS ON <br />THE NORTH DAKOTA STATE UNIVERSITY WHICH ANSWER QUESTIONS AND <br />PROVIDE SUPPORT ON A NUMBER OF PERTINENT TOPIC AREAS. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />List the qualifications and responsibilities of key project personnel, including staff <br />and volunteers who will be working with the target population (name them if they <br />have already been identified and include job descriptions/resumes, if available). <br />Also identify whether project staff are existing staff or staff to be hired for this <br />project. (If new staff, include job descriptions, if available.) <br /> <br />THE PARENTING RESOURCES CENTER EMPLOYS REBECCA BERGE-BUSS, <br />MSW, LCSW AS IT'S COORDINATOR. SHE HOLDS A BACHELOR OF ARTS <br />DEGREE FROM CONCORDIA COLLEGE, MOORHEAD, MN AND A MASTER OF <br />SOCIAL WORK DEGREE FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA, TWIN CITIES <br />CAMPUS. SHE HAS TWENTY YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH FAMILIES <br />IN A VARIETY OF SETTINGS INCLUDING TWO YEARS AS A PARENT EDUCATOR <br />FOR THE REGION V PARENTING RESOURCES CENTER PRIOR TO HER <br />ACCEPTING THE COORDINATOR POSITION. THE PARENTING RESOURCES <br />CENTER ALSO CONTRACTS WITH AREA PROFESSIONALS TO PROVIDE PARENT <br />
