WHAT SPECIFIC LAWS, ORDINANCES, OR REGULATIONS DO YOU FOLl-OW OR USE AS A REFERENCE <br />IN PERFORMING YOUR JOB? <br /> <br />Laws, rules and regulations governing veteran's benefits under federal and state <br />statutes, including Title 10 and 38 of the United States Code of Federal Regulations. <br />M21-1, Part IV, Federal Manual on Income and Net Worth for Non-Service Connected <br />Pension. Also the North Dakota Century Code as it pertains to veterans. <br /> <br />B. WHAT OTHER PRACTICES OR DEPARTMENTAL POLICIES DO YOU FOLLOW OR UTILIZE IN <br />PERFORMING YOUR WORK? <br /> <br />We utilize information contained in the North Dakota County Records Management <br />Manual, Cass County Commission Policy Manual and Cass County Personnel Policy <br />Manual. <br /> <br />PERSONAL CONTACTS <br /> <br />A. WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE DO YOU DEAL WITH IN CARRYING OUT YOUR DUTIES AND <br />RESPONSIBILITIES? (CO-WORKERS, GENERAL PUBLIC, ETC.) <br /> <br />Provide services to all veterans who receive other than dishonorable discharges from <br />active duty. Also provide services for dependents, widows and other family members <br />of veterans. Maintain a close working relationship with Cass County Social Services <br />on a two way referral basis. Provide assistance to nursing homes, funeral homes and <br />Southeast Human Services/Off Main in service to the veteran community. Maintain <br />contact with all veteran organizations in Cass County. <br /> <br />B. WHAT ARE THE PURPOSES OF THESE CONTACTS? <br /> <br />To support the veteran's community as well as family members eligible to receive <br />services and benefits from County, State and Federal agencies. <br /> <br />PHYSICAL DEMANDS <br /> <br />A. WHAT PHYSICAL EFFORTS ARE REQUIRED TO PERFORM YOUR WORK? <br /> <br />Essential functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for sitting for <br />prolonged periods of time. Minimal lifting of files and related office equipment. <br /> <br />WORK ENVIRONMENT <br /> <br />A. DESCRIBE THE ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH YOUR WORK IS PERFORMED. <br />
