Biannual <br />training with the North Dakota Department of Veteran's Affairs. Annual <br />training with the National Academy for County Veteran's Service Officers. <br /> <br />2. WHEN ARE INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN? <br /> <br />Annual budget by Cass County Commission. Spring and fall of each year <br />with the North Dakota Department of Veteran's Affairs. Attend the nearest <br />location for training with the National Academy for County Veteran's Service <br />Officers. <br /> <br />B. REVIEW OF WORK <br /> <br />1. HOW IS YOUR WORK REVIEWED BY YOUR SUPERVISOR? <br /> <br />Review of the applications, claims and other service related data submitted through <br />the North Dakota Department of Veteran's Affairs. Periodic visits to the County <br />Veteran's Service Office. Regularly scheduled rotational meeting with county <br />commission. <br /> <br />2. FOR WHAT PURPOSE IS YOUR WORK REVIEWED? <br /> <br />To ensure compliance with current laws, rules and regulations governing veteran's <br />benefits under federal and state statutes and to verify that the service we provide to <br />the veteran community meets or exceeds quality standards. <br /> <br />3.
