During the last year we have been working closely with the local Red Cross Chapter to <br />broaden our emergency shelter capabilities. RX has identified and made agreements with over <br />30 locations in Fargo, West Fargo, and every rural Cass community to support and staff local <br />shelters. They need a trailer and supplies to support this effort. <br />2. The Code RED invoice is due for this year. <br />3. Last year Fargo Schools requested some equipment to be able to be interoperable with the new <br />public safety radio system during crisis situations. <br />4. The Disaster Animal Response Team needs supplies, equipment, and a trailer to support <br />animal sheltering requirements at local evacuation shelters. <br />5. The county EAS system is currently housed at the West Fargo PD. With their move to Red <br />River Regional Dispatch there is not always someone at WFPD to monitor or activate the EAS <br />system. This equipment would enable staff at RRRDC to access the EAS equipment through a <br />phone link. <br />6. Cass / Fargo EM would like to purchase portable lighting to support disaster response and <br />emergency scene lighting. This equipment would be compatible with our generators and be <br />available to any law enforcement, fire and ems agency when requested. <br />7. Cass / Fargo EM is planning on sponsoring disaster exercises next year in two rural <br />communities as well as one evacuation and shelter exercise in the county. <br />8. Cass / Fargo EM will be working on the following plans during 2009: flood plans; volunteer <br />operations; local Emergency Operations Plans. <br />9. Administrative expenses support the office operations. <br />
