APPROVAL OF 2008 HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT FUNDS RECOMMENDATIONS <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mike Reitan moved to approve the nine recommendations as prepared and presented by <br />Rogness and Schlafmann. Second by Vangerud. No discussion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Rogness explained that Cass County has received notice of the 2008 Homeland Security <br />Grant funding for Cass County in the amount of $101,145. He explained that the funding is <br />lessened due to a reduction in state funding and an allocation of money to the regional <br />CBRNE effort in North Dakota. He explained that the county allocation is able to fund <br />planning, training, exercise and equipment expenses. <br />Rogness described that the Chair of the Cass Fargo Emergency Management Board <br />directed the emergency managers define a list of priorities to present for the LEPC to <br />consider. <br />The list of priorities was presented and each item explained by Rogness. LEPC asked <br />questions and provided input during the discussion.
