Commission Minutes-August 6, 2008 3394 MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to reduce the gasoline and oil line item by $2,000. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. MOTION, passed Mr. Vanyo moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to reduce the lawn care line item by $1,000. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to remove $3,000 from the snow removal budget. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve the 2009 preliminary budget for Buildings and Grounds reducing the line item for gasoline and oil by $2,000, lawn care by $1,000 and snow removal by $3,000. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mrs. Johnson reviewed her 2009 budget for the Courthouse. She stated that as the Regional Child Support Office has relocated, the third floor space will be utilized by other county offices and some of the signs will need to be changed in the Courthouse. Mrs. Johnson included matching grant funds for some projects in her budget proposal. MOTION, passed Mr. Bennett moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to reduce the water, sewer and garbage line item for the Courthouse by $2,000. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. MOTION, passed Mr. Vanyo moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve the preliminary budget for the Courthouse with the $2,000 budget reduction for water, sewer and garbage. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mrs. Johnson explained the preliminary 2009 budget for the Jail. MOTION, passed Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to reduce the general maintenance line item for the Jail by $5,000. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. MOTION, passed Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to reduce the operating supplies line item for the Jail by $5,000. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
