LIST THE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES THAT ARE REQUIRED TO <br />PERFORM THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF YOUR POSITION. <br /> <br />Knowledge of the principals, concepts, and methodology needed to perform <br />and/or direct duties associated with performing juvenile detention <br />activities. Requiring knowledge, skills, and abilities generally <br />acquired and developed through formal education, extensive training, <br />and/or relevant experience in work of an equivalent type and complexity. <br />A moderately high degree of interpersonal skill is required to be able to <br />communicate with and motivate others in the satisfactory performance of <br />duties and responsibilities Thorough knowledge of the court system as it <br />pertains to juvenile detentioin; working knowledge of the legal system; <br />extensive written and verbal communication skills; mathematical skills; <br />computer training and experience; and ability to maintain a professional <br />manner utilizing tact and discretion in case management and contact with <br />private and public sectors. <br /> <br />B. LIST ANY TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, VEHICLES, AND MACHINES YOU USE WHILE <br />PERFORMING YOUR WORK. <br /> <br />Personal computer with word processing and other software, telephone, fax <br />machines, copying machines, communication equipment, laser printers, the <br />county's main frame computer, and other equipment as needed within <br />corrections. <br /> <br />C. WHAT LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES ARE REQUIRED IN THE PERFORMANCE <br />OF YOUR WORK? <br /> <br />Associate Degree in Criminal Justice/Behavior Sciences and/or equivalent <br />experience in corrections especially as it pertains to juvenile detention <br />centers. Basic First Aid and CPR. ND State Jail Basic Academy. <br /> <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br /> <br />A. INSTRUCTIONS <br /> <br />1.
