Cost Evaluation: The total cost for this alternative is approximately $210,000 (plus design and administration). For details refer to Section A.2. Environmental Impact: This project might have some very short term negative impacts due to dust, noise and vibration during the time of construction, but it should be noted that the project will result in positive benefits to the bike and pedestrian facility users. Most of the construction for the project will use the right of way owned by the county and will not affect any private property. The construction will not have any disproportionate negative affects on any minority or low income neighborhood. Conclusion: Alternative 2 addresses the need 2.21 and does not meet the need 2.23 and 2.22. 4.3 Alternative 3 The recommendations of this alternative are: i. To upgrade existing roadway/sidewalk system as noted in Alternative 1. ii. To construct a 10 ft shared use path along Dakota Avenue from Interstate 29 Bridge to Rivershore Drive and along Dakota Avenue from Interstate 29 Bridge to Lind Boulevard. iii. To rebuild the sidewalk along Dakota Avenue from Lind Boulevard to Main Street to 6ft sidewalk. iv . To provide a separated pedestrian facility on the existing bridge section.
