<br />CLAY agrees to pay the monthly expenses of CLAY's inmates within thirty days of receipt of <br />the monthly bill from CASSo <br /> <br />2. Payment: CLAY shall pay CASS the rate of Sixty Dollars ($60.00) per prisoner day, <br />which rate shall apply for any day or any part of anyone 24-hour period (midnight to midnight) <br />during which any prisoner of CLAY shall be housed in the JAIL. Provided that CASS shall bill <br />for the day the offender is admitted to the JAIL but not for the day of discharge unless both are <br />the same for which Cass shall bill one prisoner day. <br /> <br />3. Term: The term of this Agreement shall be continuous, provided, however, that it <br />may be modified or cancelled upon thirty (30) days written notice by either party. All changes or <br />modifications shall be subject to the written approval of both of the parties. In any event, this <br />agreement shall remain in full force and effect until modified or cancelled by one or both parties. <br />Any notice provided hereunder shall be provided in writing addressed to the executive office of <br />the party upon whom notice is made. This agreement to be terminated without cause, by either <br />party upon the giving of notice identified herein. <br /> <br />4. Transportation: CLAY shall be responsible for transportation to and from the JAIL <br />of any prisoners which CLAY desires CASS to detain at the JAIL. Also refer to section Five (5) <br />Medical Care. <br /> <br />The inmate's personal property will be inventoried before transit, and files associated <br />with the inmate will be delivered to the transportation officer at the time of transit. <br /> <br />5. Medical Care: It is expressly understood between the parties that CASS will be <br />providing only detention of the said prisoners. However, routine medical care such as sick call, <br />self care and emergency assistance by persons trained in first aid procedures only shall be <br />provided by CASS as part of the basic daily rate. Any additional expenditure shall be the expense <br />of CLAY, including, without limitation, expenditures for the medical care or treatment of and for <br />any such prisoners. CLAY expressly agrees to assume and pay for such expenditures as shall be <br />necessary, including, without limitation, medical care or treatment for any prisoners of CLAY <br />detained in the JAIL.
