<br /> Policy Number: Number of Pages: <br />CASS COUNTY JAIL <br />POLICIES AND PROCEDURES <br />Chapter: <br />COURTHOUSE SECURITY OPERATIONS <br />Subject: Effective Date: <br />ENTRY OF CONTRACTORS AND VENDORS 01-03-2006 <br /> <br />POLICY: <br /> <br />To provide services to Cass County Government it is necessary that outside vendors and <br />contractors be allowed access to the Cass County Courthouse and Annex. <br /> <br />Persons entering the Cass County Courthouse that identify themselves as a vendor or <br />contractor may be detained if you have a question as to the person's identity. The must go <br />through the screening procedure. Packages, parcels, letters etc. are subject to screening if <br />you suspect a security breach. <br /> <br />Regular vendors to the courthouse: Fed-Ex, United Parcel, US Postal Service, Culligan <br />Water, FM Jobbing, Cole and Dacotah Papers etcetera. <br /> <br />Department heads may have authorized a delivery/pick up to the Courthouse and are <br />asked to notify the security desk and provide the information to the deputy. <br /> <br />If they fail to do so, ask the vendor which office ordered the supplies, etc. contact that <br />office and advise them of the delivery. <br /> <br />If the department fails to notify the security desk, contact that office a representative can <br />then come down to verify the delivery. <br /> <br />Contractors and venders are subject search and screening procedures of their persons and <br />items. <br /> <br />Food items are also delivered to the Courthouse to various offices.
