<br />Capabilities/Competencies: <br /> <br /> <br />An MCD technology committee was formed in 1996 to supervise the development and <br /> <br /> <br />implementation of a wireless network and mobile data computers operating in the Fargo MSA. <br /> <br /> <br />In 2006, this committee was asked by the Red River Regional Dispatch Center (RRRDC) to <br /> <br /> <br />evaluate current wireless deficiencies and provide recommendations on how to proceed. This <br /> <br /> <br />committee is made up of members of each jurisdiction and discipline experienced in working on <br /> <br />mobile communication issues. Comprised of commercial radio shop, law enforcement, fire <br /> <br />fighters, dispatchers and information technology staff, this committee will continue to oversee <br /> <br /> <br />this project if funded through completion. Most are the original members, who have worked on <br /> <br /> <br />these issues since appointed to the committee in 1996. <br /> <br /> <br />The RRRDC Radio Systems Coordinator will lead the implementation of this project. This <br /> <br /> <br />includes coordinating all aspects of the project with the members ofRRRDC MDC technology <br /> <br /> <br />committee who have agreed to participate in this project. <br /> <br />60f7 <br />
