4. Jail/juvenile detention food service contract

After consideration of all the proposals, one company came out ahead in nearly every aspect of evaluation. That company is CBM Food Service from Sioux Falls, SO. CBM Food Service has a comprehensive support plan tor the jail, a comprehensive training plan tor their staff and inmates, to include correctional officer training for statT, and the savings to Cass County Government over the next few years is measurable. A review by our nutritionist at NDSU also resulted in a CBM Food Service recommendation. We are currently paying our f()od service provider the following rates per meal: Breakfast - Lunch- Oinner- $1.25 $1.35 $1.30 Total per day per inmate: $3.900 CBM Food Service will charge the following rates: Breakfast- Lunch- Dinner- $0.946 $0.946 $05>46 Total per day per inmate: $2.838 Total Savings to Cass County Government: $ 113,032.50 The proposals submitted by all companies and the letter to the commission from Don and Daria Rudnick are in the Commission Office for individual review.
