<br />COORDINATION AND CONTROL <br /> <br />Functional Coordinator: Commission Chairperson <br /> <br />--I <br /> <br />Purpose <br /> <br />To provide procedures for coordinated management of preparedness. response and recovery, <br />continuity of govermnent, emergency operations center (EOC) and policy making in emergency <br />situations. These events include: <br />Health Related Fire/Explosion <br />Communicable Vehicle Accidents <br />Disease Aircraft Accidents <br />Bio-terrorism Hazardous Materials <br />Structural Collapse <br />Power Failure <br /> <br />Flood <br />Heavy Rains <br />Blizzard <br />Tornado <br />High Winds <br />(Straight-line) <br />Drought <br />The principles ofNIMS will enable responders at all jurisdictional levels and across all <br />disciplines to work together more effectively and etliciently. <br /> <br />Bomb Threat <br />Terrorism <br />Active Shooter <br />Civil Disorder <br /> <br />The primary functional coordinator is the executive otlicer of government or his or her alternate. <br />The principal officers are responsible for the county emergency operations, including assuring <br />continuity of resources. The county commission is responsible for all county emergency <br />operations outside of corporate Cass County limits. <br /> <br />Primary Responsibilities: Public Information, Emergency Declaration.
