<br />June 5, 2006 <br /> <br />reference into this Agreement, and payment of the operating expenses <br />of the Unit. <br />. Not later than April 1 of each year beginning in 2007, prepare an <br />annual budget for the Unit and submit the budget to the State and the <br />Participating Regions. <br />. Operate the Unit as further described in the Host Region's proposal <br />dated December 21, 2005. <br />. Work aIlIV-D cases and alerts that are appropriately transferred or <br />directed to the Unit. <br />. For purposes of this Agreement, "IV-D cases" means those cases in <br />which services are being provided by a IV-D agency pursuant to Title <br />IV-D or in which action is necessary to enforce the provisions or <br />mandates in Title IV-D. <br />. Periodically, and no less often than quarterly, provide a report to the <br />State and Participating Regions regarding the Unit's caseload and a <br />summary of the case load by region. <br /> <br />C. State. The State agrees to: <br /> <br />. Authorize the Unit to use the State's automated system at no additional <br />charge. . <br />. Provide policy directions, instructions, and interpretations for operation <br />of the Unit. <br />. Coordinate the development of a training curriculum and training <br />materials (including relevant portions of the State's automated system <br />and relevant policies and interpretations). <br />. Provide each Unit staff member a worker number on the State's <br />automated system that will identify which participating region <br />transferred the case to the Unit, and on which region's behalf the case <br />is being enforced by the Unit. <br /> <br />D. Participating Regions. The Participating Regions agree to: <br /> <br />. Provide financial support for the Unit by promptly paying each billing of <br />the Host Region. <br />. Transfer appropriate cases and cooperate and assist Unit staff as <br />much as possible in working cases. <br />. Participate upon request in the interview and training processes for <br />Unit staff. <br />. Provide upon request an appropriate case worker to personally meet <br />with Unit staff and assist with the original transfer of outgoing interstate <br />cases to the Unit. <br />. Submit the annual budget prepared by the Host Region to all of the <br />counties in the region. <br />. Forward any proposed extension of this agreement to the appropriate <br />official or officials for approval. <br /> <br />2 <br />
