<br />33. CONTRACTOR'S DUTIES <br /> <br />In addition to other duties and responsibilities outlined in this contract, Contractor <br /> <br />will: <br /> <br />A. Attend any organizational meetings as required by Department before the <br />pesticide collection days. <br /> <br />B. Make an on-site inspection, if necessary, at each collection site. <br /> <br />C. Be responsible for site safety, preparation, security, and restoration including <br />berm placement, and adequate tarping for spill containment and cleanup, <br />including a contingency plan for inclement weather. <br /> <br />D. Provide 24-hour site security personnel from site set up to completion of site <br />restoration. <br /> <br />E. Clearly mark the chemical handling area and establish and monitor ingress <br />and egress for all persons in this area. <br /> <br />F. Post signs indicating that participants are to remain in their vehicles; no <br />smoking, eating or drinking; eyewash and shower locations; and fire <br />extinguisher locations. <br /> <br />G. Place cones to show traffic pattern for participants entering and exiting <br />collection site. <br /> <br />H. Unload vehicles, sort, inventory, package, store, and arrange for the final <br />disposal of all collected Waste and transporting of the Waste to treatrnent <br />and disposal facilities. <br /> <br />I. Pack all Waste by the end of each collection event and transport such <br />Waste off-site the same day, or the following day with prior Departrnent <br />approval. <br /> <br />J. Keep records of Waste arnounts received for each collection event, including <br />Waste by trade/generic name. <br /> <br />K. Assign U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), and Environrnental <br />Protection Agency (EPA) hazardous waste numbers. <br /> <br />L. Provide all materials necessary to labpack or overpack the Waste, including <br />a forklift, drums, absorbent materials, labels, and tools. Prepare labpacks <br />and overpacks for treatment and disposal. <br /> <br />M. Prepare drurn inventories, shipping labels, manifests, and Waste profiles as <br />required. <br /> <br />15 <br />
