<br />Commission Minutes-June 1,1998 1814 <br /> <br />7. ROAD RESTRICTIONS, SprinQ weight restrictions discontinued on gravel-surfaced roads <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to discontinue spring <br />load restrictions for gravel-surfaced county highways on June 2,1998. <br />On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />8. ABATEMENT APPLICATIONS, Approved for Lavonne M. Hanson: Daniel Halland <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that Abatement #4094 be <br />reduced from $152,600 to $74,900 based upon the farm residence <br />exemption application and upon the recommendation of Pleasant <br />Township and the Director of Equalization. On roll call vote, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that Abatement #41 01 be <br />approved as recommended by the Tower City Council and the Director <br />of Equalization. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />9. EXTENSION SERVICE, Family Nutrition Program and Parenting Resource Center proposals <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that the Cass County <br />Commission support the Family Nutrition Program county proposal for <br />continuation ofthe program from October 1, 1998-September 30, 1999, <br />pending proposal acceptance by State and Federal partners. On roll <br />call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that the Parenting <br />Resource Center Program for July 1, 1998-June 30, 1999, be <br />implemented according to the grant guidelines; and that the Cass <br />County Extension Service work with the Auditor's Office to amend the <br />budgetforthe program. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />10. ELECTION CANVASSING BOARD, Appointment of county representatives <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to appoint John Meyer, <br />Carol Kraft and Linda Brooks to the county canvassing board for the <br />June and November, 1998, meetings. On roll call vote, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />11. PLAT APPROVAL, Final plats of McMahon Estates 2nd Subdivision: Country Acres 3rd <br />Subdivision: Ashwood 2nd Subdivision: Richard 3rd Subdivision <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that the Cass County <br />Board of Commissioners grant Final Plat approval to McMahon Estates <br />2nd Subdivision, SW% of Section 32, Township 139N, Range 49W in <br />
