<br />Commission Minutes-May 18,1998 1810 <br /> <br />7. SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, Sale of used vehicles <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to authorize the sale of <br />four Sheriff's Department vehicles using the city impound auction <br />operated by Don's Service Center South on June 13,1998. On roll call <br />vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />8. PLAT APPROVAL, Final Plat of Lost Meadows Subdivision <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Koenig seconded that the Cass County <br />Board of Commissioners grant Final Plat approval to Lost Meadows <br />Subdivision, NE% of Section 6, Township 138N, Range 49W in Cass <br />County, North Dakota. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />9. PERMITS FOR SITE AUTHORIZATION, West Fargo VFW: Erie American Legion: National <br />Multiple Sclerosis Society <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to grant site <br />authorization permits to conduct games of chance under license <br />issued by North Dakota Attorney General's Office for the period of July <br />1,1998 through June 30,1999, as follows: Arthur W. Jones Post 7564 <br />at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds; Dokken & Schroeder Post #223 at <br />the Erie American Legion Hall; and National Multiple Sclerosis Society- <br />Dakota Chapter at Wild Rice Bar and Grill. On roll call vote, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />10. ABATEMENT APPLICATION, Approved for Bradley & Susan Johnk <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Koenig seconded that Abatement #41 05 be <br />approved, as recommended by the Page Township Board and the <br />Director of Equalization. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />11. CONTRACT APPROVAL, Houston Engineering <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to authorize chairperson <br />to sign resolution accepting low bid; to approve the following contract <br />submitted by respective department head and portfolio commissioner, <br />subject to State's Attorney approval; and to authorize the chairperson <br />to sign: Houston Engineering, Inc. for preliminary engineering <br />services for Highway 2 bridge replacement in the amount of $17,788. <br />On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />12. TAX EXEMPTION APPLICATION, Partially approved for Sanders Metal Products <br />The Commission deferred action from the last meeting on the tax exemption application <br />submitted by Todd Sanders, Sanders Metal Products, Inc. of Fargo for a business expansion to <br />a building located north of Fargo in Reed Township. No one in the audience asked to address <br />the Commission at this time. Mrs. Schneider asked for discussion among commissioners. <br />
