<br />Commission Minutes-May 18, 1998 1809 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />MAY 18,1998 <br /> <br />1. MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairperson Donna Schneider called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present <br />as follows: Robbie Quick, Paul Koenig, John Meyer, Alon Wieland and Donna Schneider. <br /> <br />2. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Koenig seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />3. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve the order of <br />the agenda with an amendment to the County Engineer's motion to <br />continue spring load restrictions on gravel roads. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. JAIL AND JUVENILE DETENTION, Policy manuals approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve the Cass <br />County Jail and Juvenile Detention Policy Manuals which have no <br />revisions for the year 1997-98. On roll call vote, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />5. ROAD RESTRICTIONS, Spring weight restrictions remain on graveled county highways <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to discontinue spring <br />load restrictions for concrete and asphalt surfaced county highways <br />on May 19, 1998, however, spring load restrictions on gravel surfaced <br />county highways will continue until further notice due to recent heavy <br />rainfall. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. ASSESSMENT NOTICE OF OMITTED PROPERTY, Richard and Diane Nechiporenko <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to add Lot 7, Block 2, <br />Reile's Acres 1st, as omitted property for the year 1997 in the amount <br />of $99,500 residential lot and structure ($11,000 added value missed <br />by county when books were returned by city board of equalization), <br />according to notice from the county auditor to Richard and Diane <br />Nechiporenko, Reile's Acres, NO. On roll call vote, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />
