w <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Commission Minutes--December 15, 1997 1753 <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to approve budget <br />adjustments in the amount of $800 for computer items as outlined in a <br />memo dated December 5, 1997, from the County Coordinator. On roll <br />call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />FLOOD HAZARD MITIGATION GRANT, Grant application and letter of su_~port sic_ned <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Koenig moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to authorize the chairman to <br /> sign Hazard Mitigation Grant application, as prepared by the County <br /> Engineer, Keith Bemdt, for protecting numerous areas in Stanley <br /> Township. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to authorize the chairman to <br />sign letter of support for Water Rssource District Flood Protection Grant <br />application for protecting areas north of West Fargo. On roll call vote, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PERSONNEL POLICY MANUAL, Review by outside consultant MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Koenig moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to authorize hiring Serkland, <br /> Lundberg, Erickson, Marcil & McLean, Ltd. as an outside consultant to <br /> review the Cass County Personnel Policy Manual, in accordance with a <br /> memorandum to Commissioners from Donna Schneider dated December <br /> $, 1997. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />VETERANS SERVICE, Donation of obsolete computer eo_ui_~ment MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Koenig moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to authorize Veterans Service <br /> Officer, James Brent, to donate obsolete computer equipment to <br /> Veterans Club, Inc. of Casselton, according to letter dated December 3, <br /> 1997. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />CONTRACT APPROVAL, Board of prisoners/juvenile detention: Honeywell: Northwestern <br />Colic_ce <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Koenig moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to approve the following <br /> contracts submitted by respective department head and portfolio <br /> commissioner, subject to State's Attorney approval; and authorize the <br /> chairman to sign: On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />board of prisoners and juvenile detention--Richland, Ransom, Stutsman, Barnes, <br />Griggs, Sargent, Traill and Steele Counties; City of Casselton; <br />board of prisoners at Richland-Wahpeton Law Enforcement Center; <br />Honeywell for preventive maintenance at Courthouse, Jail and Annex; and <br />lease agreement with Northwestern College for KFNW tower space rental at Amenia. <br /> <br /> <br />
