On roll call vote, motion <br />carded unanimously. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #1997-32, Condolence to family of the late John Korsmo <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Quick moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to adopt Resolution <br /> #1997-32 as follows: On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Cass County Commissioners has learned of the death of <br />John Korsmo of Fargo, North Dakota; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, John Korsmo served as a member of the Fargo City Commission for one <br />term and was active in community affairs for many years. <br /> <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Board of Commissioners of Cass County, <br />North Dakota, does hereby express its heartfelt condolences to the family of the late <br />John Korsmo. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be inscribed upon the permanent <br />records of the proceedings of the Board of County Commissioners and a copy <br />forwarded to his family. <br /> <br />Dated at Fargo, North Dakota, this 17th day of November, 1997. <br /> <br />FLOOD UPDATE, Lake Agassiz Regional Council <br />Irv Rustad, Lake Agassiz Regional Development Corporation, gave an update on the Hazard <br />Mitigation Grant Program and indicated he is beginning to focus his activity toward Phase II <br />projects, particularly diking. Mr. Rustad has done some follow-up work on Cass County's waiver <br />request, after having provided more detailed information to the Denver Office of HUD (Department <br />of Housing and Urban Development). Also, work is just beginning on advertising and selling any <br />salvageable property within the next two months, with demolition possibly in the month of <br />February. <br /> <br />METROPOLITAN COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS, Fringe Land Use Guide and Street Plan <br />Cindy Gray, Transportation Planner for the Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Council of Governments, <br />requested County Commission approval of the final draft of a Fringe Area Land Use Guide and <br />Street Plan. She gave a brief summary of this project, which has taken nearly two years to <br />complete. The Council of Governments has worked on this document with the County Engineer, <br />County Planner, and other area entities. MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Quick moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to adopt the Fringe Area <br /> Land Use Guide and Street Plan as presented. On roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
