WHEREAS, Commission Minutes--July 7, 1997 1661 RESOLUTION #1997-17 the 1997 Legislature enacted SB 2002 which funds the North Dakota Supreme Court; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Cass County has discussed the matter of transferring responsibility for funding for the Clerk of District Court for Cass County to the State of North Dakota. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF CASS COUNTY, NORTH DAKOTA, That the County initiate the option to transfer responsibility for funding for the Clerk of District Court of Cass County to the State of North Dakota; and That the County provide assistance to the State Court Administrator in preparing information for the proposed transfer. By order of the Board of Cass County Commissioners this 7th day of July, 1997. RESOLUTION #1997-18 WHEREAS, the 1997 Legislature enacted SB 2002 which funds the North Dakota Supreme Court; and 24. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Cass County has determined to initiate the option to transfer responsibility for funding of the Clerk of District Court of Cass County to the State of North Dakota; and WHEREAS, The County of Cass has a population of greater than 100,000 persons; and WHEREAS, the Office of Register of Deeds and Clerk of District Court continue to operate as separate offices in order to permit the initiation of the option to transfer responsibility for funding for the Clerk of District Court of Cass County to the State of North Dakota. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF CASS COUNTY, NORTH DAKOTA, That the offices of Clerk of District Court and Register of Deeds of Cass County are hereby separated pursuant to Section 11-10-02, NDCC. By order of the Board of Cass County Commissioners this 7th day of July, 1997. VOUCHERS, Approved MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to approve Voucher No. 103,799 through Voucher No. 104,260. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously.
