Schneider moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to recess the Cass County <br />Board of Equalization until July 21, 1997. Motion carried. <br /> <br />RESOLUTIONS #1997-17 & 1997-18, Clerk of District Court <br />Mr. Wieland said the resolutions being discussed today are similar to resolutions approved by the <br />County Commission about five years ago. The Commission needs to write a letter to the North <br />Dakota Supreme Court to initiate the option to transfer responsibility for funding of the Cass County <br />Clerk of District Court to the State of North Dakota. He is hopeful the state will fund the Clerk of <br />District Court entirely and said Cass County is one of the trial centers with the option to initiate the <br />transfer. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Schneider moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to authorize the chairman <br /> and the county auditor to sign the following resolutions #1997-17, for the <br /> county to initiate the option to transfer responsibility for funding for Cass <br /> County Clerk of District Court to the State of North Dakota; and #1997-18, <br /> for the Office of the Register of Deeds and Clerk of District Court continue <br /> to operate as separate offices in order to permit the initiation of the option <br /> transfer responsibility for funding for the Cass County Clerk of District <br /> Court to the State of North Dakota. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />
