On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />ABATEMENT APPLICATIONS, Approved for Douglas Myhre: Chris & Shawn Erickson <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Koenig seconded that Abatement #4067 for <br /> Douglas Myhre be reduced to $2,100 for 1996, as recommended by the <br /> Director of Equalization. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Koenig seconded that Abatement #4073 for <br />Chris & Shawn Erickson be approved as recommended by Hill Township <br />and the Director of Equalization. On roll call vote, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT/JUVENILE DETENTION, Out-of-state travel approved <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve out-of-state travel <br /> for Juvenile Detention Supervisor, Tim Olson, to participate in 'Chicago <br /> Outreach 1997' in Chicago, IL on June 21-29, 1997. On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />EXTENSION SERVICE, Family nutrition program continuation MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Koenig seconded that the Cass County <br /> Commission support the Family Nutrition Program county proposal for <br /> continuation of the program from October 1, 1997 through September 30, <br /> 1998, pending proposal acceptance. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />CONTRACT APPROVAL, United Methodist Church MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve the following <br /> contract submitted by respective department head and portfolio <br /> commissioner, subject to State's Attorney approval; and authorize the <br /> chairman to sign: United Methodist Church for use of the equipment <br /> storage bay at the County Highway Department for flood relief dispersals. <br /> On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE FOR CAMPERS/BREWER LAKE ISSUES, First reading of proposed ordinance <br />Earlier today, the Cass County Park Board reviewed an ordinance regulating and restricting the use <br />of Cass County Park campsites, as drafted by State's Attorney, John Goff, based upon information <br />provided to him by Doug Anderson, Chairman of the Cass County Park Board. <br /> <br /> <br />
