Commission Minutes--May 19, 1997 1625 <br /> <br />Cass County Government is proud of each employee who gave of their time, talents and <br />resources to help others during the 1997 flood, and offers its heartfelt comfort to those <br />employees who have been personally affected. <br /> <br />By order of the Board of Cass County Commissioners this 19th day of May, 1997. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #1997-10 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Cass County has witnessed the most severe flooding in recorded history, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, public officials responded to the crisis by working countless hours to protect county <br /> residents and to insure public safety. <br /> <br />NOW, <br /> <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, <br />that the Board of County Commissioners expresses its sincere appreciation to the many <br />public officials who dedicated their service to Cass County. <br /> <br />In particular, the Board recognizes the contributions of the Cass County Water Boards, Fargo <br />Cass Public Health, the City of Fargo, EVAC, the Army Corps of Engineers, the U.S. Coast <br />Guard, the American Red Cross, the Salvation Army, FEMA (Federal Emergency <br />Management Agency), the North Dakota National Guard, other incorporated cities in Cass <br />County, as well as township officials. <br /> <br />Cass County Government is proud of every agency who gave of their time, talents and <br />resources to help others during the 1997 flood, and offers its heartfelt comfort to county <br />residents who have been personally affected. The united efforts of all those involved saved <br />our community from even greater disaster. <br /> <br />By order of the Board of Cass County Commissioners this 19th day of May, 1997. <br /> <br />PERMIT FOR RAFFLE, Absaraka Homemaker's Club MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve raffle permit for <br /> Absaraka Homemakers Club to be held September 16, 1997, at the <br /> Absaraka Community Center in Absaraka, ND. On roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PERMITS FOR SITE AUTHORIZATION, Granted for West Fargo VFW at fairgrounds; Erie <br />American Legion: National Multi_~le Sclerosis ~ociety at Wild Rice Bar MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to grant site authorization <br /> permits to conduct games of chance under license issued by North <br /> Dakota Attorney General's Office for the period of July 1, 1997 through <br /> June 30, 1998, as follows: Arthur W. Jones Post #7564 at the Red River <br /> Valley Fairgrounds; Dokken & Schroeder Post #223 at the Erie American <br /> Legion Hall; and National Multiple Sclerosis Society-Dakota Chapter at <br /> Wild Rice Bar and Grill. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
