He said assessments have been increasing 4-5% per year in the last <br />three years and still not keeping up with market values. As far as using comparable sales in north <br />Fargo, he said there were no sales of similar properties in Highland Park so he expanded the <br />search to Harwood, Reed Township and sales in north Fargo, which are available to him through <br />multiple listing service. <br /> <br />Mr. Koenig said he feels reducing the valuation from $115,100 to $105,000 is a fair compromise <br />from what the applicant requested, which was $98,000. Mr. Wieland said the market is very <br />strong in Fargo and the surrounding areas. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Quick seconded that abatement ~4057 for <br /> Vicki Scherling be reduced to $105,000 as recommended by the Reed <br /> Township Board and the Director of Equalization. On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />No one was present to address the Board on the second abatement application. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Quick moved and Mr. Koenig seconded that abatement #4060 for <br /> Ned & Shelley Rector be reduced to $162,200 as recommended by <br /> Barnes Township and the Director of Equalization. On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />VOUCHERS, Approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Koenig moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to approve Voucher No. <br /> 98,483 through No. 99,157.
