Commission Minutes--February 20, 1996 1438 SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LOT, City of Kindred MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Ness seconded to authorize the chairman and the county auditor to sign a county deed for sale of tax- forfeited property to the City of Kindred for $1.00. On roll call vote, motion carried with three members voting "Aye" and Mr. Eckert opposing. COUNTY COORDINATOR, Purchase order for computer and network card MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Ness seconded to authorize chairman to sign a purchase order for $1,214 to purchase a Gateway 2000 P5-75 computer and to take out of inventory a network card and charge the contingency line item for both the computer and the card. This will replace the county coordinator's computer, according to letter from the county auditor dated February 7, 1996. On roll call vote, motion carried with three members voting "Aye" and Mr. Eckert opposing. WATER RESOURCE DISTRICTS, Appointment of study committee MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Ness seconded to appoint a water resource district study committee consisting of the following members: Alon Wieland, Bernie Ness, Keith Berndt, Tom Fischer, Robert Brodshaug, William Thompson and Glenn Ellingsberg. On roll call vote, motion carried with three members voting "Aye" and Mr. Eckert opposing. DEVIL'S LAKE FLOODING, Appoint representatives to study committee MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Ness seconded to appoint Alon Wieland and Keith Berndt to serve as representatives of Cass County on the Devil's Lake flood study. On roll call vote, motion carried with three members voting "Aye" and Mr. Eckert opposing. CONTRACT APPROVAL, North Dakota Department of Transportation/Wanzek Construction MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to authorize chairman to sign resolution accepting Iow bid of Wanzek Construction in the amount of $285,291.80 for construction of a bridge over the Maple River on County Road 5 south of Chaffee, ND; and authorize chairman to sign contract with Wanzek Construction upon receipt of contract documents from the North Dakota Department of Transportation, subject to state's attorney approval. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously.
