Commission Minutes--November 20, 1995 ]408 CONTRACT APPROVAL, General ~ecurity ~ervices Corporation; ND Association Counties: Reed TownshiplSheyenne River Bridpe MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to approve the following contracts by respective department head and portfolio commissioner, subject to State's Attorney approval; and authorize the chairman to sign: On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. General Security Services Corporation--security screening North Dakota Association of Counties--coordination of alcohol and controlled substance testing Reed Township--Sheyenne River bridge repairs (Sections 7-18) of CONTRACT APPROVAL, North Dakota Department of Transportation/Industrial Builders MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to authorize chairman to sign resolution to accept Iow bid from Industrial Builders in the amount of $574,342.11 for construction of a bridge over Sheyenne River on County Road 81 two miles north of Harwood; and authorize chairman to sign contract with Industrial Builders upon receipt of contract document from the North Dakota Department of Transportation and subject to State's Attomey approval. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. ROAD DEPARTMENT, Purchase order for portable office trailer; North Dakota Department of Transportation inspection of box culverts MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to authorize chairman to sign purchase order for one portable office trailer for use by the Road Department as a material testing laboratory from Satellite Shelters, Inc. in the amount of $6,413. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to authorize chairman to sign letter to the North Dakota Department of Transportation to change inspection cycle of box culverts from two years to four years. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. COMMISSION POLICY MANUAL AMENDED, Road Department snow and ice control policy MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to amend Commission Policy Manual to add section 9.80, Snow and Ice Control Policy, as approved at Road Advisory committee meeting held November 20, 1995. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. SOCIAL SERVICES, Out-of-state travel MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to approve out-of-state travel for Kathy Hogan, Social Services Director, to attend a seminar on welfare reform and managed care for child welfare December 2-4, 1995 in New Orleans, LA. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously.
