Commission Minutes--November 20, 1995 1407 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN a CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br /> REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> NOVEMBER 20, 1995 <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Bernie Ness called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: <br />Don Eckert, Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint, Alon Wieland, Donna Schneider and Bernie Ness. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Schneider moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded that the minutes of <br /> the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve order of the <br />agenda with the following additions to the consent agenda: Motion <br />carried. <br />· contract approval (North Dakota Department of Transportation and Industrial Builders) <br />· Road Department requests--purchase order for portable office trailer; Department of <br /> Transportation agreement on box culvert inspections; snow and ice control policy <br />· Social Service requests--out-of-state travel (Hogan and Flynn) <br /> <br />PERSONNEL OVERVIEW COMMITTEE, Ratify_ action of November 6, 1995 <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to convert hourly <br /> employees to part-time employees for the purpose of pro-rating benefits <br /> in an effort to facilitate implementation of a fully automated payroll <br /> system; and to amend Personnel Policy Section 7.40, Hours of Work and <br /> Overtime/Compensatory Time, whereby employees select a method of <br /> compensation in January each year. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />PERMIT FOR RAFFLE, ADproved for Kindred Lion's Club MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to approve raffle <br /> permit for Kindred Lion's Club on the date of March 29, 1996, at the <br /> Kindred Public School, Kindred, ND. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, Fee increase for mileae_e on civil process <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to increase the mileage <br /> charged to the public by the Cass County Sheriff for duties performed to <br /> $.35 per mile, effective January 1, 1996. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
