Minutes--October 23, 1995 1403 <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />13. <br /> <br />14. <br /> <br />15. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE PROPOSED, Curfew regardin_= juveniles discussed <br />Sheriff Don Rudnick asked the County Commission to consider adopting a county curfew <br />ordinance based upon discussions with the cities of Fargo, West Fargo, Casselton and Kindred. <br />Mr. Ness suggested polling all of the incorporated cities in the county to get their input on such <br />an ordinance. Members of the commission said they would favor a curfew ordinance and <br />agreed the cities should have an opportunity to provide input, if they so desire. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to request State's <br /> Attorney John Golf to draft an ordinance in North Dakota language <br /> that could be suitable for Cass County and other communities who <br /> may also want to adopt it; and bring it back to the Cass County <br /> Commission for adoption, subject to conditions which would include <br /> forwarding it to other communities asking for their input; and setting <br /> the reading dates. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE, Contract changes approved <br />Mr. Montplaisir reported that he and County Coordinator Bonnie Johnson met with Deb Dahlsing <br />of Blue Cross Blue Shield to discuss changes in the county's group health insurance policy. In <br />a letter to Commissioners dated October 13, 1995, he explained the 11 suggested changes. <br />Items #1 through #5 are legislative changes, and items #6 through #11 are suggestions made <br />by the insurance administrator. MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to adopt changes in <br /> the county's health insurance program as outlined by Mr. Montplaisir. <br /> On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />APPRAISAL OF TAX-FORFEITED PROPERTY, Hearing date set MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to set the value of tax <br /> forfeiture properties as outlined in the list provided by the County <br /> Auditor's Office, with the following exceptions: property located at <br /> 180 Linden Street and 330 Linden Street in the City of Kindred to be <br /> valued at $2,000 and $500, respectively, based upon a review by Frank <br /> Klein, County Director of Equalization. On roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to set the hearing <br />date on the value of property as 3:30 PM on November 6, 1995. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />NDACo CONVENTION; VETERAN'S SERVICE OFFICE COMMITTEE; 1996 PRESIDENTIAL <br />CONTEST; TROLLWOOD ABATEMENT DECISION, Committee reports <br />Mr. Wieland and Mr. Eckert reported that they attended the North Dakota Association of <br />Counties and County Commissioners annual convention in Grand Forks last week. <br /> <br /> <br />
