Comm. Minutes--October 23, 1995 1401 <br /> <br />= <br /> <br />EMPLOYEE SOLICITATION, Holiday Clearing Bureau MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to allow the <br /> solicitation of clothing items from Cass County employees to be given <br /> to the Holiday Clearing Bureau for distribution to needy adults. On <br /> roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PLAT APPROVED, McMahon Estates First Subdivision <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded that the Cass <br /> County Board of Commissioners grant variance requests from the <br /> river access/bikeway easement and road right-of-way requirements <br /> as recommended by the Planning Commission, and grant final plat <br /> approval to McMahon Estates First Subdivision, SW 1/4 of Section 32 <br /> of Township 139N, Range 48W in Cass County, North Dakota. On roll <br /> call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />CONTRACT APPROVAL, 1996 Cooperative Agreement with North Dakota Division of <br />Emergency Management and CellularOne MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to approve the <br /> following contracts submitted by respective department head and <br /> portfolio commissioner, subject to State's Attorney approval; and <br /> authorize the chairman to sign: 1996 Cooperative Agreement with <br /> North Dakota Division of Emergency Management; and CellularOne for <br /> Social Services telephone purchase. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />MIDA BOND APPLICATION, Fraser. Ltd. <br />A public hearing was advertised for this date and time on Fraser, Ltd. MIDA Bond application. <br />Chairman Ness opened the public hearing and invited comments from the audience. <br /> <br />Jim Stewart of Arntson & Stewart, representing Fraser, Ltd., said the project consists of <br />acquisition and renovation of the building located at 2902 South University Drive, Fargo, at an <br />estimated cost of $1,750,000. The facility will be used for administrative offices and a day care <br />center; and approximately 6,300 square feet of the total 27,700 square foot building will be <br />leased for use as office or retail space. He said the commercial portion of the facility will be <br />subject to real estate taxes. <br /> <br />Mr. Ness asked for any additional comments from the audience on the MIDA Bond application <br />for Fraser, Ltd. and hearing none, closed the public hearing. MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to adopt <br /> RESOLUTION #1995-22 AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF MUNICIPAL <br /> INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT REVENUE BONDS UNDER CHAPTER 40- <br /> 57 NDCC; and authorize the chairman and the county auditor to sign <br /> said resolution. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
