APPOINTMENT, County Treasurer to Board of Appraisers MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to appoint the County Treasurer to the Cass County Board of Appraisers to replace the County Superintendent of Schools. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. 13. CONTRACT APPROVAL, American Bank National Association; Mosouito Control Aore~ment with City of Arthur, North Dakota Game and Fish Department orant aoreement MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to approve the following contracts submitted by respective department heads and portfolio commissioner, subject to State's Attorney approval; and authorize the chairman to sign: 1) American Bank National Association; 2) City of Arthur for mosquito control; and 3) North Dakota Game and Fish Department grant agreement on behalf of Valley Water Rescue. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. 14. PERSONNEL OVERVIEW COMMITTEE, Ratify action of July 17. 1995 MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to ratify Personnel Overview Committee action of July 17, 1995 to approve hiring Jeffrey Olson to a field deputy position in the Sheriff's Office in the B32 category at a starting salary of $25,248. Due to a relationship through marriage, he will be under no direct supervisory responsibilities by Mike Argall, which would include evaluations and any disciplinary action. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. 15. RESOLUTION #1995-13, BQrderud's Subdivision street improvement The Board of County Commissioners proceeded to consider the matter of bids for the furnishing of materials and labor for Street Improvement District No. 95-1 of Cass County (Borderud's Subdivision). Sealed bids were properly submitted and previously opened by the County Auditor as follows: Border States Paving F-M Asphalt, Inc. Northern Improvement Co. $72,934.70 86,502.00 87,128.00 A letter was received from Jeffry Volk, Project Engineer, under date of July 7, 1995, stating the homeowners have determined not to construct the water service improvements at this time in order to bring the project back into budget.
