Minutes--June 19, 1995 1358 <br /> <br />23. <br /> <br />24. <br /> <br />25. <br /> <br />JOINT DISPATCH STUDY, Payment approved from contin=encv fund <br />Glenn Ellingsberg, Cass County Sheriff's Department, was present to <br />request the Commission's support for continuation of the joint <br />radio system study as discussed at a May 23rd meeting in Fargo. A <br />letter was received from Brad Schmidt, Cass County Electric <br />Cooperative, dated June 12, 1995, proposing that each of seven <br />entities involved in the project contribute $2,500 towards the fee <br />charged by the consultant. Cass County Electric will pay the <br />balance of the cost, which is estimated at a total of $40,000. <br /> <br />Mrs. Toussaint asked why Clay County is not involved, and Mr. <br />Ellingsberg said they were not one of the groups who were <br />approached for funding. They would pay their share of the <br />equipment if they come into the group at a later time, he said. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve <br /> payment of ~2,500 from Contingency Fund for continuation <br /> of study for joint radio system. On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />COMMISSION POLICY MANUAL SECTION 4.00 AMENDED, Pl~nnin= Commission <br />appointments <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to appoint <br /> the following persons to the Cass County Planning <br /> Commission with the end of the first year in each term to <br /> coincide with the end of the 1995 calendar year: A1 <br /> Wieland, Cass County Commissioner (1 year); Irv Inniger, <br /> Fargo City Commissioner (1 year); David Stedman, West <br /> Fargo City Commissioner (1 year); Leslie Roach, Cass <br /> County Township Officers Association (1 year); Don <br /> Hanson, Fargo resident (1 year); Charles Petty, Fargo <br /> resident (3 years); Duane Boehning, Fargo resident (3 <br /> years); wayne Freedland, rural resident (2 years); Curt <br /> Ness, rural resident (3 years); and to advertise in the <br /> local newspaper for applications to fill one vacancy of <br /> a rural resident (4 years). On roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br />COMMISSION POLICY MANUAL, Qemeterv Board dissolved; Amend Section <br />4.00, Advisory Boards <br />Mr. Ness noted there are vacancies on several boards where terms <br />expire this July 1st. County Coordinator Bonnie Johnson did some <br />investigating on whether there are any statutory requirements for <br />a cemetery authority and a county housing authority. She found no <br />statutory authority for the cemetery board, which has three <br />vacancies. Mr. Wieland said this board was established in about <br />1985 because of the Trollwood Cemetery relocation project.
