Minutes--May 15, 1995 1336 <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />ROAD DEPARTMENT, Out-of-state travel approved <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve <br /> out-of-state travel for County Engineer Keith Berndt to <br /> attend Low Volume Road Conference in Minneapolis, MN on <br /> June 25-29, 1995. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, Out-of-state travel approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve <br /> out-of-state travel for Dawn Herbst, R.N., to attend the <br /> annual conference of Physician Assistants in Las Vegas, NV <br /> on May 29-June 3, 1995. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to authorize <br />Deputy Sheriff Rich Majerus to attend a training program in <br />Sioux Falls, SD June 4-8, 1995. On roll call vote, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />CONTRACT APPROVAL, Mosquito Control Agreement with City of Fargo; <br />Astech Corporation for seal coating MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve <br /> 1995 mosquito control agreement with City of Fargo, as <br /> submitted by County Engineer and portfolio commissioner, <br /> subject to State's Attorney approval; and authorize the <br /> chairman to sign. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve <br />contract with Astech Corporation for seal coating County <br />Roads 6, 17, 10 and 1, as submitted by County Engineer and <br />portfolio commissioner, subject to State's Attorney <br />approval; and authorize the chairman to sign. On roll call <br />vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />JUVENILE JUSTICE BUILDING ADDITION, Change order for exterior lighting <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve <br /> change order #E-3 with Moorhead Electric in the amount of <br /> ~13,800 for owner-requested exterior lighting at the <br /> Juvenile Justice Center. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, Vehicle purchase/replacement MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to ratify Vehicle <br /> Policy Committee action to approve purchase of 1993 Chevrolet <br /> Lumina from National Rent-A-Car in the amount of $8,500 to <br /> replace a 1988 Chevrolet Celebrity in the Sheriff's Department <br /> vehicle fleet.
