Minutes--April 17, 1995 1321 <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />13. <br /> <br />14. <br /> <br />15. <br /> <br />16. <br /> <br />17. <br /> <br />ROAD DEPARTMENT, County Roads #1 and #10 seal coats <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to authorize <br /> County Engineer to proceed with sealing project on County <br /> Roads $1 and $10 near Tower City. On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PLAT APPROVED, Drewelow's Third Subdivision <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to grant final <br /> plat approval to Drewelow's Third Subdivision, S~ of <br /> Section 34, Township 137N, Range 52W, in Cass County, North <br /> Dakota. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PLAT OF RABANUS FARMSTEAD ADDITION, Dedicate right-of-way along 13th <br />Avenue South for public use MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to authorize <br /> chairman to sign plat of Rabanus Farmstead Addition to the <br /> City of Fargo for the purpose of dedicating for public use <br /> a 17 foot strip of right-of-way along 13th Avenue South <br /> between 45th and 47th Street SW. On roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br />SOCIAL SERVICES, Ratify action of April 17, 1995 MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve <br /> furniture purchase of service agreements recommended by the <br /> Social Services Board at their meeting on April 17, 1995, <br /> as follows: 1) Steffen's Office Equipment for case goods; <br /> 2) Office Interiors for office task and side chairs; 3) <br /> Office Interiors for waiting room furnishings; and 4) State <br /> bid for systems furniture. On roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br />CONTRACT APPROVAL, Lawn care; juvenile detention; Kindred bikeway <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve the <br /> following contracts submitted by respective department head <br /> and portfolio commissioner, subject to State's Attorney <br /> approval; and authorize the chairman to sign. On roll call <br /> vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />*Frank McClaflin, d/b/a Blade Runners Lawn Care Service <br />*Stutsman County--detention of juveniles <br />*North Dakota Department of Transportation--Kindred Bikeway <br /> <br />RAPE & ABUSE CRISIS CENTER, States Attorney's Assistant receives award <br />Mark Boening, Assistant State's Attorney, was presented the annual <br />"Healing the Hurt" award from the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center on <br />behalf of their staff, volunteers, board members and the 2,514 victims <br />they served in 1994. Mr. Boening was recognized for his sensitivity <br />to victims of child sexual abuse and their families, for being able <br />to communicate with the children on their level and for aggressively <br />prosecuting the cases within the criminal justice system. <br /> <br /> <br />
