Minutes--July 18, 1994 1232 <br /> <br />22. <br /> <br />23. <br /> <br />24. <br /> <br />25. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. wieland seconded to sponsor <br />the project activities as defined in the July 8, 1994 memo, <br />and direct Lake Agassiz Regional Council to seek funding <br />approval from State funding sources for the project, <br />contingent upon property owner participation of 25% as <br />recommended by County Road Advisory Committee. On roll <br />call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />CHILD SUPPORT ENFORCEMENT, Out-of-state travel <br />Kathy Ziegelmann, Regional Child Support Enforcement Director, <br />appeared before the Board to answer questions on her out-of-state <br />travel request for seven staff members. She said staff attending the <br />conference in Brainerd, MN will make every effort to car pool. <br /> <br />Mr. Ness asked about the need to send five people to the Brainerd <br />conference, and Mrs. Ziegelmann said she plans to send people who have <br />a different focus on child support enforcement within the office. She <br />has good coverage from the rest of the staff in the absence of those <br />five, she said. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve the <br /> out-of-state travel request of Kathy Ziegelmann, Director <br /> of the Southeast Regional Child Support Enforcement Unit, <br /> for employees Allen Albright and Deb Hyer to attend the <br /> National Child Support Enforcement Association's 43rd <br /> annual training conference in Boston, MA on August 20-25, <br /> 1994; and for Kathy Ziegelmann, Dave Carlson, Brenda <br /> Krueger, Dan Bertsch and Mischelle Hukriede to attend the <br /> Minnesota Family Support and Recovery Council's 22ndAnnual <br /> Conference on September 11-14, 1994, in Brainerd, MN. On <br /> roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />COMMISSION POLICY MANUAL AMENDED, Section 13.90, DaY philosophy <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to amend <br /> Commission Policy Manual and adopt Section 13.90, pay <br /> philosophy. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />VOUCHERS, Approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve vouchers <br /> No. 62,847 through No. 64,347 for the month of July, 1994. <br /> On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />EMERGENCY 911 FUNDS, Purchase of timed paging recorder <br />A written request was received from the Sheriff's Department to amend <br />the Commission agenda to include purchase of a timed paging recorder <br />for use with the 911 system. Mr. Ness said the equipment, which will <br />allow for multiple pages per call without operator assistance, will <br />cost $3,000-3,500 installed. The unit is compatible with either the <br />Fargo Police Department dispatch equipment or the county dispatch <br />equipment. He said some of the dispatch duties were transferred to <br />Fargo Police Department last week, and remaining duties will be <br />transferred gradually. <br /> <br /> <br />
