Mr. Ness was in <br />agreement to withdraw his motion and Mrs. Toussaint <br />withdrew the second. Mr. Risher asked Mr. Steiner to come <br />back to the next meeting with further information. <br /> <br />COUNTY COURT MAGISTRATE POSITION, Resolution #1994-5 and contract for <br />judicial services approved <br />In a letter to Commissioner Alon Wieland, dated May 26, 1994, County <br />Court Judge Frank Racek requested Commission approval of a resolution <br />and contract for Ralph Erickson to continue as Cass County Magistrate <br />on a part-time basis while serving as county judge for a multi-county <br />district consisting of Griggs, Nelson, Steele and Traill Counties. <br />Michael Montplaisir, County Auditor, said Traill County has requested <br />a change in the payment method on page 1, paragraph 1. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Ness seconded to approve <br /> Resolution #1994-5 and Contract for Judicial Services with <br /> a change in the payment method as recommended by the Cass <br /> County Auditor and subject to State's Attorney review. On <br /> roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />WEED BOARD DISTRICTS, Seven-member board approved <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to establish a <br /> weed control board of seven members consisting of one <br /> member from the City of Fargo, one member from the City of <br /> West Fargo, one member from the County Commission and four <br /> members from the four previously designated quadrants. <br /> Discussion: Mr. Eckert favors appointing one member at <br /> large rather than one member from the county commission. <br /> At the call for the question and on roll call vote, the <br /> motion carried with four members voting "Aye," Mr. Eckert <br /> opposing. <br /> <br />VOUCHERS, APProved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to approve <br /> Vouchers No. 61646 through No. 62846. On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />HOME RULE CHARTER COMMISSION; SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS POSITION; <br />CEMETERY CONCERN; WELFARE REFORM MEETING; SHERIFF VEHICLE USE; BOND <br />SALE; NACO CONFERENCE UPDATE, Committee reports <br />Bonnie Johnson, County Coordinator, said the Home Rule Charter <br />Commission meets at 8:30 AM Tuesday, June 7th, in the Commission Room. <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson reported that <br />schools, Leon Johnson, will <br />Government on June 13, 1994. <br /> <br />the new part-time superintendent of <br /> begin employment with Cass County <br /> <br />Mr. Eckert referred a cemetery maintenance concern to the County <br />Auditor. <br /> <br /> <br />
