COUNTY COURT MAGISTRATE POSITION, Resolution #1994-5 and contract for judicial services approved In a letter to Commissioner Alon Wieland, dated May 26, 1994, County Court Judge Frank Racek requested Commission approval of a resolution and contract for Ralph Erickson to continue as Cass County Magistrate on a part-time basis while serving as county judge for a multi-county district consisting of Griggs, Nelson, Steele and Traill Counties. Michael Montplaisir, County Auditor, said Traill County has requested a change in the payment method on page 1, paragraph 1. MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Ness seconded to approve Resolution #1994-5 and Contract for Judicial Services with a change in the payment method as recommended by the Cass County Auditor and subject to State's Attorney review. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. WEED BOARD DISTRICTS, Seven-member board approved MOTION, passed Mr. Ness moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to establish a weed control board of seven members consisting of one member from the City of Fargo, one member from the City of West Fargo, one member from the County Commission and four members from the four previously designated quadrants. Discussion: Mr. Eckert favors appointing one member at large rather than one member from the county commission. At the call for the question and on roll call vote, the motion carried with four members voting "Aye," Mr. Eckert opposing. VOUCHERS, APProved MOTION, passed Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to approve Vouchers No. 61646 through No. 62846. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously.
