Minutes--May 16, 1994 1207 <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />13. <br /> <br />SHERIFF'S ASSET FORFEITURE, Authorize Auditor to issue check <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to authorize the <br /> Auditor to issue a check in the amount of $3,592.13 to <br /> Corwin Churchill of Bismarck from the Sheriff's Asset <br /> Forfeiture line item which is the Highway Patrol's share of <br /> the proceeds from the auction held December 11, 1993. On <br /> roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />LOST INSTRUMENT BONDS, Receive, file and authorize duplicate checks <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to receive, file <br /> and authorize duplicate checks for Indemnity Bonds on Lost <br /> Instrument for the following: Shannon Rieman, Jennie <br /> Millerhagen, Dean Vierkaut, Norwest Mortgage IA, Joyce <br /> Coffey, Hod Dalke and Marry Zueger. On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ELECTION INSPECTORS, APproved for 1994 primary election <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to appoint election <br /> inspectors for the 1994 primary election, according to list <br /> furnished by the County Auditor. On roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br />CONTRACT APPROVAL, Border States Paving; Sellin Brothers <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve the <br /> following contracts submitted by respective department head <br /> and portfolio commissioner, subject to State's Attorney <br /> approval; and authorize the chairman to sign: Border <br /> States Paving for asphalt overlay on County Roads I and 10; <br /> and Sellin Brothers for County Road 15 grading project. On <br /> roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PERSONNEL POLICY MANUAL, Adopt Driving Review Board Policy, 2.61 <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to amend Personnel <br /> Policy Manual by adding Section 2.61, Driving Review Board <br /> Policy, as recommended by Personnel Overview Committee and <br /> Vehicle Policy Committee. On roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br />JUVENILE JUSTICE CENTER ADDITION, Bids awarded <br />Architect Terry Stroh outlined the low bids received and opened at the <br />Courthouse on May 12, 1994, for general, mechanical and electrical <br />construction of three additional floors on the Juvenile Justice Center <br />building located along 10th Street west of the courthouse complex. <br />He said the county can anticipate some additional dollars because <br />there are typically change orders on a project of this size. <br /> <br />County Auditor Michael Montplaisir said the low bids, including <br />alternate items recommended by the Finance Committee at a meeting <br />earlier today, total $3,486,300. He explained the financing and said <br />the addition can be paid for in five years. <br /> <br /> <br />
