Minutes--September 20, 1993 1109 <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />UTILITY PERMIT, U.S. West Communications MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve utility <br /> permit for U.S. West Communication to make one encroachment <br /> of County Road #17 north of Horace, as shown on permit and <br /> sketch provided by the County Engineer. On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />LOST INSTRUMENT BOND, Auditor authorized to issue duplicate checks <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Risher seconded to receive and file <br /> Indemnity Bond on Lost Instruments for Norwest Mortgage and <br /> for Patrick J. Healey, and authorize the county auditor to <br /> issue duplicate checks. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />STATE CONVENTION DELEGATE, Charlotte Sandvik designated <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Risher seconded that Charlotte <br /> Sandvik be designated as Cass County's delegate to the <br /> North Dakota Association of Counties annual convention to <br /> be held October 3-6, 1993, at the International Inn, Minor, <br /> ND. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PERSONNEL OVERVIEW COMMITTEE, Actions ratified MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Risher seconded to ratify Personnel <br /> Overview Committee actions of September 20, 1993, as <br /> follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Eliminate the storm leave policy from the Cass County Personnel <br />Policy Manual, effective with proper notification of policy <br />change; <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Deny storm leave for Social Services staff, which was initially <br />granted by Director Kathy Hogan on July 16, 1993. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />Authorize new position number for Patrick Healey as firearms <br />training officer working a maximum of five hours per week. <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />Define the Cass County Weed Control Officer as being an employee <br />of the Weed Board and that other weed control employees be <br />considered as county employees. <br /> <br />On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />BEER AND LIQUOR LICENSE, Approved for Bruce Schauer at Wild Rice Bar <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve issuance <br /> of a county beer and liquor license for the balance of 1993 <br /> to Bruce R. Schauer at the bar in Wild Rice, ND. On roll <br /> call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
