Minutes--September 8, 1993 1099 <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to reduce the <br />County Coordinator office supplies line item from $500 to <br />$300. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to delete <br />remodeling line item for $60,000. On roll call vote, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br />Discussion: The Juvenile Justice addition is scheduled for <br />completion the end of 1994. Mr. Wieland said if courthouse <br />remodeling needs to be done in 1994, money could possibly <br />come from the Contingency Fund. <br /> <br />PERSONNEL BUDGET, Reductions made in office supplies, travel, <br />books/subscriptions, and postage <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Ness seconded to reduce office <br /> supplies line item from $2,000 to $1,500. On roll call <br /> vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to reduce postage <br />line item from $850 to $700; books and subscriptions from <br />$1,500 to $600; and travel line item from $1,000 to $750. <br />On roll call vote, motion carried with four members voting <br />"Aye", Mr. Eckert voting "No." <br /> <br />There was discussion on deleting $8,500 for the Employee Assistance <br />Program. Mr. Wieland said the program is beneficial to employees and <br />is a morale booster. He does not want to eliminate this item. <br /> MOTION, failed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Risher seconded to remove $8,500 for <br /> the Employee Assistance Program. On roll call vote, motion <br /> failed with three members voting "No," Mr. Ness and Mrs. <br /> Toussaint voting "Aye." <br /> <br />DATA PROCESSING, Reductions in office supplies, seminars and travel <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Ness seconded to reduce office <br /> supplies line item from $300 to $250; travel line item from <br /> $3,000 to $2,000; seminars line item from $3,000 to $2,000; <br /> and books and subscriptions from $1,000 to $500. <br /> Discussion: Mike Steiner, Data Processing Coordinator, said in <br /> previous years he received free computer manuals, but beginning <br /> in November, there will be a cost for the manuals. He budgeted <br /> $1,000 to cover the cost for these. <br /> AMENDED MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Ness seconded to amend the motion <br /> to leave the books and subscriptions line item at $1,000. <br /> On roll call vote, motion carried on the amended motion. <br /> At the call for the question and on roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously on the main motion. <br /> <br /> <br />
