RESOLUTION #1993-12ADOPTED FOR RIGHT OF WAY CONDEMNATION, County Road 17 south of West Fargo; special board to fix damages MOTION, passed Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Risher seconded to authorize the County Engineer to proceed with condemnation for County Road #17 reconstruction south of West Fargo, and adopt Resolution # 1993-12 declaring the necessity of taking two parcels of land owned by Neil and Ann Nelson both located in Section 31, Township 139, Range 49 West of the 5th Principal Meridian and as described on appraiser's estimates; and to direct a special board consisting of the County Auditor, County Treasurer and Register of Deeds to fix the damages for such taking. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. UTILITY PERMITS APPROVED, U.S. West, Northern States Power Company MOTION, passed Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Risher seconded to authorize the Chairman to sign utility permits for U.S. West Communica- tions to cross County Road #10 and County Road #20; and authorize the Chairman to sign utility permit for Northern States Power Company to install a natural gas main on County Road #10 in Casselton, North Dakota. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. CONTRACT APPROVAL, FM Asphalt, Steffes Auctioneers MOTION, passed Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve contracts with FM Asphalt for reconstruction of County Road 17 south of West Fargo in the amount of ~673,280.80; and with Steffes Auctioneers for consignment auction sale agreement. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. SOCIAL SERVICES, Ratify board actions of June 7~ 1993 MOTION, passed Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve the 1993 social service staffing pattern as presented at the Social Service Board meeting held June 7, 1993. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. MOTION, passed Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Risher seconded that the Social Service Director be authorized to negotiate the continuation of current Department of Human Services contracts as presented at the Social Service Board meeting held June 7, 1993. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. MOTION, passed Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Risher seconded that the Social Service Director be authorized to contract with two individuals to provide translator services (Vietnamese and Arabic) for up to 16 hours/week at a rate of ~9.00/hour. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously.
