Comm. Minutes--December 21, 1992 971 County Planner Earl Haugen said the property owner is petitioning the county board to vacate the section line road easement that crosses proposed lot #2 because of an alternate route and non-use of the easement. MOTION, passed Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve the vacation of that part of the section line road easement crossing lot #2, to approve the final plat of Borderud's Subdivision, and to allow the chairman to sign the final plat. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. 17. PLAT OF SIMPLE SUBDIVISIONS #1 AND #2 APPROVED, Public hearing held Chairman Wieland opened the public hearing at this time on the final plats of Simple Subdivisions tl and #2 located in the SE~ of Section 30, Stanley Township. No one asked to address the Commission on this issue. The Chairman closed the public hearing and proceeded with recommendations of the county planning department. MOTION, passed Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve the final plats of the Simple Subdivision #1 and #2 of the SE~ of Section 30, Stanley Township, and allow the chairman to sign the final plats. PLAT OF SIMPLE SUBDIVISION #1 APPROVED, Public hearing held Chairman Wieland opened the public hearing at this time on the final plat of Simple Subdivision #1 located in the S~ of Section 19, Stanley Township. No one asked to address the Commission on this issue. The Chairman closed the public hearing and proceeded with recommendations of the county planning department. MOTION, passed Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve the final plat of the Simple Subdivision #1 of the S~ of Section 19, Stanley Township, and allow the chairman to sign the final plat. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. 19. WEED CONTROL/VECTOR CONTROL, Report by State's Attorney State's Attorney John Golf provided commissioners with a letter dated December 21, 1992, in response to questions from the commission on core responsibilities of weed and vector control. 20. LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE ESTABLISHED Mrs. Toussaint suggested establishing a committee to consider Cass County Government's proactive approach for the next legislative session. Mr. Wieland was included on the original list of suggested committee members but he recommended that commissioner-elect Bernie Ness be named because he is chairman of the North Dakota County Commissioners Association legislative committee. He still plans to attend county legislative committee meetings and encouraged all commissioners to take an active part. Mr. Wieland asked Bonnie Johnson to notify department heads of the legislative committee, and Mrs. Toussaint reminded commissioners of the open meeting law and notifying the media of these meetings.
