Comm. Minutes--November 2, 1992 949 <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Srs. Toussaint moved and Sr. Shannon seconded to authorize <br />the Chairman to sign Intergovernmental Agreement (Phase I) <br />and Addendum to Intergovernmental Agreement (Phase I); and <br />forward the Addendum to the City of Fargo and to the City <br />of West Fargo for approval and signatures. <br />Discussion: Mr. Shannon thinks a joint meeting should be <br />scheduled again with the full commissions of the City of <br />Fargo, City of West Fargo and Cass County Government to <br />discuss joint dispatch, and Mr. Wieland said the Joint <br />Dispatch Council should make that decision. The addendum <br />does need to be addressed by each of the respective <br />commissions, and Mr. Wieland said everyone at the last <br />Joint Dispatch Committee meeting agreed with the theory of <br />the addendum. Mr. Golf also said all of the Joint Dispatch <br />Committee members agreed with the terms of the addendum. <br />At the call for the question and on roll call vote, the <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />23. <br /> <br />JOINT DISPATCH COUNCIL, Appointment of County representatives <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to appoint <br /> Commissioners Wieland and Risher as Joint Dispatch Council <br /> members representing the Cass County Commission. Motion <br /> carried on roll call vote with three members voting "Aye," <br /> Mr. Risher and Mr. Shannon opposing. <br /> <br />24. <br /> <br />ELEVATOR MAINTENANCE, R & O Elevator Company assigned contract to <br />another company <br />Mr. Eckert reported that R & O Elevator Company is no longer serving <br />Cass County Government's account for elevator maintenance, effective <br />October 31, 1992; and he suggested advertising for bids for another <br />company to serve this account. Mr. Montplaisir said R & O Elevator <br />assigned the county's contract to another company. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded that the <br /> State's Attorney review the contract for elevator <br /> maintenance and to proceed with advertising for bids if <br /> Cass County Government is not bound by contract to take an <br /> assigned company. Mr. Wieland said the State's Attorney <br /> should proceed with a notice of termination of the assigned <br /> company, if termination is required in the contract. On <br /> roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />25. <br /> <br />VOUCHERS, Approved <br />Mr. Eckert reviewed bills this month and said he checked about five <br />items in the Auditor's Office. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve <br /> Vouchers No. 42,0§8 through No. 42,9§9. On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />26. <br /> <br />COURTHOUSE GENERATOR, Fuel oil line replacement <br />Mr. Eckert said the Maintenance Department had one bid of $2,500 to <br />replace a fuel oil line to the generator, but they now have a second <br />bid in the amount of $1,600. <br /> <br /> <br />
