Comm. Minutes--September 21, 1992 920 <br /> <br />POLICY CHANGE, Cass County Commission Policy Manual, Section 1.10 <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Shannon seconded to adopt <br /> policy change to Cass County Commission Policy Manual, <br /> Section 1.10, to add the following underlined language in <br /> the fourth paragraph on page 1 of 1: <br /> "The NDSU Extension Service is located in the basement of <br /> the Juvenile Justice Center adjacent to the emergency <br /> operations center which includes a large meeting area, <br /> radio room emergency broadcast station and kitchen." <br /> On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ADA GUIDELINES, Space and Planning Committee actions ratified <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Shannon seconded to adopt the <br /> Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards (UFAS) as the <br /> guidelines to be used system-wide for County buildings, but <br /> noting that those standards may be exceeded if it is in the <br /> best interests of the public but it does not mean that Cass <br /> County Government will adhere to stricter standards system- <br /> wide. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Shannon seconded to approve <br />the draft ADA (Americans With Disabilities) transition plan <br />for public comment; to place an advertisement in the <br />newspaper and that the County Planner contact various <br />advocate groups soliciting written comments on the draft <br />plan. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />STATE'S ATTORNEY, Out-of-state travel approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Shannon seconded to approve <br /> out-of-state travel for Elisabeth Schiltz, Welfare Fraud <br /> Investigator, to attend the Minnesota Fraud Investigators <br /> Association semi-annual training conference in Anoka, MN, <br /> on October 2, 1992. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />LOST INSTRUMENT BOND, Central Auto Supply, Shelley Bock <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Shannon seconded to receive <br /> and file Lost Instrument Bond for Central Auto Supply and <br /> for Shelley Bock; and authorize the Auditor to issue a <br /> duplicate check. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />SOCIAL SERVICES EMPLOYEE TERMINATION, Personnel Overview Committee <br />actions ratified <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Shannon seconded to authorize <br /> Commissioner Toussaint to proceed with negotiations with a <br /> Social Services employee who was terminated. On roll call <br /> vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
