Minutes--September 21, 1992 919 <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ, <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />SEPTEMBER 21, 1992 <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all <br />members present as follows: Don Eckert, Steve Risher, Gene Shannon, <br />Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint and Alon Wieland. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Shannon seconded that the minutes <br /> of the September 8, 1992, regular meeting be approved after <br /> expanding paragraph 25 (Department Work Plans) to include <br /> that two department heads, Register of Deeds Deanna Kensrud <br /> and Clerk of District Court Dorothy Howard, still have not <br /> attended preliminary and follow-up management training <br /> through the North Dakota Association of Counties. Motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded that the <br /> minutes of the special meetings of September 15 and 17, <br /> 1992, be approved as written. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve the <br /> order of the agenda adding ratification of Personnel <br /> Overview Committee actions and out-of-state travel for the <br /> Sheriff's Department to the consent agenda, and adding <br /> county parking lot subcommittee recommendation to the <br /> regular agenda. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ROAD DEPARTMENT, Utility permit/engineering services/travel <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Shannon seconded to approve <br /> utility permit for U.S. West to install fiber optic cable <br /> from Page to Tower City, as recommended by the County <br /> Engineer. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Shannon seconded to approve <br />publishing solicitation of proposals for engineering <br />services on future road and bridge projects in The Forum, <br />and distribution to local engineering firms. On roll call <br />vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Shannon seconded to approve <br />out of state travel for County Engineer to attend Winter <br />Road Maintenance Workshop in Crookston, MN on September 30, <br />1992; and to attend the County Road Advisor's Workshop in <br />Rapid City, SD, on October 21 and 22, 1992. On roll call <br />vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
