Minutes--August 17, 1992 906 <br /> <br />18. <br /> <br />19. <br /> <br />20. <br /> <br />21. <br /> <br />22. <br /> <br />MIDA BOND REDEMPTION, Adam's Investment Company <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to authorize <br /> Chairman to sign warranty deed and bill of sale in <br /> connection with Adams Investment Company MIDA Bond <br /> financing created in December, 1983; contingent upon <br /> receipt of verification from Dakota Bank & Trust Company <br /> indicating that these bonds are being redeemed and that <br /> they release the County from any liability regarding the <br /> transfer of property back to Adams Investment Company. On <br /> roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ROAD DEPARTMENT, Building Maintenance <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Risher seconded that the <br /> County Road Engineer be authorized to replace carpet and <br /> tile in the Road Department Office administration area at <br /> a cost of approximately $13,500; money to complete the <br /> project to be taken from another line item in the Road <br /> Department budget as requested by Keith Berndt. On roll <br /> call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ROAD DEPARTMENT, Use of Road Engineer's vehicle defined <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> With concurrence of County Road Engineer Keith Berndt, Mr. <br /> Eckert moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to re-affirm the <br /> purchase of the 1992 Chevrolet Lumina for use by the County <br /> Road Engineer at a cost of $11,954; with the understanding <br /> that the vehicle is for county-use driving and not for <br /> commuting to and from work. On roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br />APPRAISAL OF BOULGER PROPERTY, County considering purchase <br />County Coordinator Bonnie Johnson reported that John Boulger is <br />agreeable to having his property adjacent to the Courthouse appraised <br />in order to determine a fair market value. Mr. Wieland asked for an <br />estimated cost of the appraisal in advance. MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to authorize <br /> hiring an appraisal service for the purpose of appraising <br /> the Boulger property near the Courthouse. On roll call <br /> vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ADA GRANT FUNDING, COMMISSION APPROVES MATCHING FUNDS <br />Bonnie Johnson said Cass County Government was awarded a grant in the <br />amount of $18,000, to be matched by 20% county funds, for the purpose <br />of making physical improvements to meet Americans With Disabilities <br />(ADA) guidelines. She said the money has to be spent by September <br />30th and proposed obtaining estimates which she will present to the <br />Commission the first meeting in September. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to authorize <br /> payment of $3,600 from County Contingency to be used as matching <br /> funds for the ADA grant outlined by the County Coordinator. On <br /> roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
